Background: Anabel Allan was very young, only 3 years old, when her parents Barry and Iris Allan went on an island vacation and never returned. They were delayed while Anabel's grandparents were murdered, and she was kidnapped. She spent the next thirteen years of her

life being tosses from one foster home to the next with nothing but a piece of red spandex as her legacy. Little did she know that her father was the Flash, and that wearing the red spandex would give her that same speed that he possessed. Once she realized that the fabric gave her such power, she wondered if she might gain other powers using fabrics from other costumes, and wasted no time in visiting her friend, Edna C. Mode, one of the top costume designers. She has a cloak made from costume scraps, which gave her the power of all the superheroes in the world. She serves as an honorary member of the JLU, but spends most of her time searching for her parents from her Metropolis apartment.
